Meet Balou the Bear 

He is our cuddly mascot who helps ensure all our orders are prepared to the highest standards - only the best for your little ones! He is the face on our logo and we hope you love him just as much as we do.

Behind the brand

My name is Emma, I'm a first time mum to Louie and I'm the face behind balou bear. 

I am currently working towards my accountancy and finance degree whilst juggling becoming a new mum and learning on the job! Since becoming a mum, I have become obsessed with all things 'baby' and wanted to put my passion into something. When we started our weaning journey, all I could find was plastic brightly coloured products so I wanted to create neutral products that were high quality, soft on their skin and easy to clean. That is why balou bear was created. 

Behind the name

The name balou bear comes from my little boy's nickname, Louie balou and our favourite children's character, Pooh Bear. I combined these two ideas together and that is how balou bear was created. 

Behind the product

balou bear offers silicone weaning products in gorgeous neutral colours which are affordable, durable, practical and high quality. Our silicone is FDA grade, BPA free and plastic free meaning it is non-toxic for your little ones. It is odour- and stain-resistant, hypoallergenic and super easy to clean. It is dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe and bacteria resistant. Our products and packaging are eco-friendly as they are recyclable or compostable.
